I treasure those "Goldilocks" rides, when the temperature is just right. Leaving at 7:30 this morning for a 65-odd mile ride to Brunch in the New Forest I chose the Himalayan over the Mad Orange Thing, and didn't regret the choice! The MT-09 would have been fun for sure, but no where near as relaxed given my limited sleep.
The first part of the day was rapid (by Himalayan standards) - the MT would have been a much more full throated howl, but by the time it came to ride back the MT would have been hard work in increased traffic compared with the Himalayan's milder manners. I think the MT is a very precise tool, while the Himi is more multi-function.
